Adventure and other Activites

Even if you’re not a downhill skier or snowboarder, the Zugspitz Arena holiday region is well worth a visit.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Tyrol’s Zugspitz Arena is a well-kept insider’s tip for cross-country skiers, with 110 kilometres of cross-country track of varying slopes and degrees of difficulty (both classic and skating style) through a magic winter landscape. Guaranteed fun for beginners as well as the real professional.

Get on the track from directly in front of CUBE – Cross-country schools and ski rental make it simple and easy to learn this Nordic discipline.

WINTER HIKING

If you are one of those who dread strapping two boards to their feet, you will find over 60 kilometres of maintained winter hiking trails in the Zugspitz Arena for your winter hiking pleasure.

SLEDDING

Sledding down the many natural runs in the area will bring out the winter kid in you.

Sledding in Lermoos-Grubigstein
Sledders get their money’s worth in the Grubigstein ski area: A 3 km natural sled run (level of difficulty: medium) starts from the middle station of the Grubigstein lift.

TORCH-LIGHT SNOWSHOE HIKES

Tyrol’s Zugspitz Arena gives you many ways to explore the region without the need for skis. Snow shoes are one such option, and a snowshoe hike is an entirely different experience. A special highlight is a torch-light snowshoe hike at dusk followed by an evening of food, drink and fun at a typical alpine lodge..
